Rotary action for End Polio

Organising: Rotary Club Palma Mediterranea and RC Calvià International

Short resume of meeting on March 5, 2024 at 20:30 at Hotel Melia Palma Bay:

Present: 9 members of RC Palma Mediterranea plus guests from RC Calvia International (President Nicola and Sergeant at Arms Gerdi)

Basic data:

May 10: Information stand at FAN Commercial Centre (no registration)

May 11: Port Adriano, 9 o`clock: Registration of participants and handing out of information bags including participants´ numbers for the race, information about Rotary and its Polio campaign.

Rotary information stand from RC Mediterranea (3×3 m) with Rotary banners of both clubs and leaflets etc., shared and manned by both clubs. Propably 5 persons per club needed each day.

Children´s race

May 12: Port Adriano: Adults´race

Information about inscription, race options and prices on the website of Sport Maniacs (https://www.sportmaniacsbaleares.com). Participation also possible for walkers (on different track).

Minimum fee 10 Euro (also for non-participants = fila zero), donations welcome.  Everyone gets the race bag (including T-shirt)

Expected number of visitors: 3.000 up to 5.000. A good opportunity to reach lot of people in Calvia, to talk with them about Rotary and handout our leaflet.

After brainstorming of ideas in our club, we will inform RC Mediterranea till 11.3.24. They will discuss more details 12.3.24 in their club.

Next meeting to discuss more details (with the presence of two members of every Rotary club on the island) on March 17 at Port Adriano with brunch from 11 to 13 o´clock. Costs 25 Euro per person
