WE GIVE HOPE TO THE PEOPLE OF MALLORCA TO SURVEY THE CORONA CRISIS

The hardship in Mallorca caused by COVID 19 is unbelievable and growing. Many families and companies have found themselves in a situation that threatens their very existence – because almost everyone who lives on the island is dependent on tourism in some way. Despite the fact that tourism will probably pick up again in the summer of 2021, the situation in Mallorca will remain difficult for a long time. We are already preparing for a tough winter

Poverty and need are therefore a sad reality on Mallorca that needs to be combated. The HOPE Mallorca Foundation, together with its numerous voluntary helpers, is opposing this development with all its might.

On May 13, 2020, HOPE Mallorca opened the first of many food distribution stations in Santanyí. Today, HOPE Mallorca has grown into a strong and sustainable aid organization that helps many thousands of people to survive the corona crisis. By distributing food, we fight hunger on the island. With HOPE sponsorships we protect families from homelessness and over-indebtedness. By distributing medical equipment and aids, we help disabled and sick people in times of crisis.

The foundation was founded at the beginning of the pandemic in May 2020 by Heimke Mansfeld, Jasmin Nordiek and Sonja Willner.

Baldea is a federation of  animal associations of the Balearic Islands

Baldea offers its collaboration to all the people and associations that work for animal rights in the Balearic Islands, including those that are not part of the platform. Baldea puts its experience, resources and human capital at your disposal.

Efficacy – Baldea is not satisfied with the simple complaint, taking it to the last legal consequences. Thus, Baldea gets, in March 2009, the first criminal conviction in Spain of being disqualified from keeping animals.

In 2009, Baldea achieved the definitive closure of the Macarena de Felanitx bullring. An allegation against the decision of the City Council of Felanitx to approve a grant of € 9,000 for the reform of the square, propitiates that the work cannot materialize
