We the Rotary Calvia Internation club went to Colonia Sant Pere to visit the food bank Som Colectiu. Steffi Hülsmann and her colleagues are running the food bank for residents in the catchment area of Colonia Sant Pere. 57 people are registered here as needy by the social welfare office and are allowed to pick up food at the food bank once a week. In contrast to the southwest, where many clubs, companies and traders are located and donate locally, Colonia Sant Pere is one of the areas on Mallorca where only few donations arrive, said Steffi Hülsmann.
Our donation arrives, specifically at those who urgently need it.
