Just before the Corona Virus started to dictate life and the lock-down came along, the Club organised a Jazz Night at Hotel Saratoga in Palma. A number of the Board were involved, in particular Gerdi Edstadtler Pietsch, the in-coming President, Jan Siegl and Peter de Pradines. However, the founder of the event some years ago, Geoff Frosell, the trombonist, played a big part. As usual the Hotel provided a very tempting buffet and lots of wine. So, what with the music, the food, wine and the company, everyone had a terrific evening. There was also a raffle and there were some great prizes which Rotarian and restaunaeur Saloua Sfar had secured from her contacts. The whole event raised a total of 3450€ which ws donated to RANA. This is a local charity which helps abused children and youngsters as well as seeking to educate all children that abuse is not normal and that they can say No or Stop. It was good to get the following “thank you” from Rana’s President. We were glad to hear from RANA too that they were managing to do a lot of work helping and educating youngsters on line
